  • Traditions: I have found over the years (now that I have adult children) that just choosing a tradition (whatever that might be: christmas breakfast, gingerbread houses, reading the Christmas story or giving to the needy) and making a point of doing it consistently from the time they are young will make a great impact on them even as adults.
  • Paper Snowflakes: Some fun things to do with your children are to make paper snowflakes. There is also a great website for patterns for snowflakes that you can also use as ornaments.
  • Juice Can Lid Ornament: Trace around a metal lid from a can of frozen juice onto a photo or wrapping paper. Cut out the traced circle and glue it to the inside of the juice lid. Go around the edge with glitter glue. Tape ribbon to the back of the lid. Cover the ribbon and tape with felt.
